Mountain View High freshman Alex Albin seems well on the way to his goal of becoming a professional wakeboarder. He was recently featured on the cover of WaterSki Magazine and last fall won his division at the World Wake Association Wakeboard World Championships in Mexico.

Los Altos grad leads Hopkins to first NCAA title

After playing four years of varsity volleyball at Los Altos High School and falling just short of winning section and regional championships, Louisa “Lulu” Kishton recently claimed a title trophy in the sport.

MVHS club raises money for pandemic relief

Mountain View High School’s Leo Club has raised more than $2,000 in COVID-19 relief funds for the homeless, overcoming the challenges of an abrupt school closure in March and social-distancing restrictions that remain in place.

Eye Lite Optometry celebrates 20 years in downtown Los Altos this month

When Dr. Jabina Ramde opened Eye Lite Optometry in downtown Los Altos, she had just two staff members and one exam room. Twenty years later, Ramde’s practice has grown to include three other optometrists, five support staff and three exam rooms in an office with approximately twice the square footage.

Student-run Surf Apparel Shop Fundraises For Ocean Preservation

Syracuse student Neil Lepard teamed up with his cousin Fred Manoog to create a surf apparel shop in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Sweeping Tides donates a percentage of their profits to ocean preservation through Oceana.
